Check out the Latest Release: "Beat
the Eagles"

The remarkable sequel to 2001's "The Silence of
the Rams." Coming February 1, 2004, Tom Brady in
"On the Trail of the Carolina Panthers." A story
of a dominant team, overcoming adversity to face one more
challenge before the end of the season. It will take eveything
they have. Rated SB (Super Bowl) for Championship calliber
play and superb defense.
When last we left the young Patriot team, they had shocked
the world in Silence of The Rams two years ago. Since
then, they have won 14 straight games, en route to finishing
the 2003 Campaign 14-2. Having won 2 playoff games in
dramatic fashion, "Trail of the Carolina Panthers"
picks up where "Silence" finished.
The team aims to become the only team in NFL history
to win 10 games against teams with 10 wins and 6 games
against teams with 12 wins. This is a good football team
with something to prove for the ages. The question is:
Can they do it in Houston? Find out in Silence Part XXXVIII:
On the Trail of the Carolina Panthers.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Gregg Esterbrook notes the following in hisTuesday
Morning Quarterback Column as "Bad Predictions,
Category Five" (Somewhat edited to point toward the
responsible party - don't forget I said the Pats would
kick butt by 20+ points)
Ron Borges of the Boston Globe declared,
"If you want to see points scored next Sunday, go
to a basketball game. Super Bowl XXXVIII will be about
a lot of things, but it won't be about offense."
Rick
Morrissey [No Relation Here], Chicago
Tribune: "The Panthers aren't going to be able to
generate much offense."
Pete Prisco of SportsLine.com: Expect "little in
terms of excitement. Can we spell B-O-R-I-N-G?" Vic
Carucci of NFL.com predicted the game would be "low
scoring" and said the Super Bowl "will be decided
by two, maybe three big plays -- all of which I expect
to come from New England." Dave Kindred of The Sporting
News foresaw, "Send flowers to poor Jake Delhomme,
the Panthers' quarterback, an unassuming player who has,
of course, much to be unassuming about." Delhomme
threw for 323 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Vinnie Iyer of TSN added, "The Patriots' running
game will go nowhere." New England rushed for 27
yards.

The Glorious Road to
Super Bowl XXXVIII
The MOJO Jersey
At Work:

This is the hero of the
story, receiving the magic Jersey for Christmas, 2002. The
next Sunday, while the Patriots were losing the final game
of the season - a game they had to win to even have a shot
at the playoffs - our hero raced to the bedroom and applied
the magic jersey.
Remarkably, the Patriots
turned that game around and won in most dramatic fashion...and
lo, mojo was bestowed upon the jersey.
In the first game of the
2003 Season, our hero was busy painting the deck - and thus
not wearing the magic jersey. The Patriots went down to
defeat at the hands of the Buffalo Bills 31-0. Karma had
not occured to our hero, and he thought nothing of not wearing
the magic jersey.
He wore the magic jersey
the next successive weeks, whereupon New England played
to impressive wins over the Eagles and Jets. Still not fully
appreciating the effect of the magic jersey, our hero failed
to wear it the next week to his inlaws, and the Patriots
went down in defeat to a team, in a game, they should have
won.
Since then, the magic jersey
has been a part of the magical 2003 season, having been
worn every game since, to remarkable consistency. The Patriots
are 17-0 when the magic jersey is worn (including that first
game against Miami back at the end of 2002) and 0-2 when
the magic jersey is not.
Alas, it becomes quite clear
that this is indeed a Kharmac jersey which will be fully
applied against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers have
no shot against a mojo as strong and powerful as the magic
jersey. The numbers are indisputable.
2003 New England
Patriots: One of the greatest teams in NFL History.

...at least until the 2004 incarnation.
15 consecutive wins. 2 Super Bowl victories
in 3 years. Brady 6-0 in Playoff Games, 2 Super Bowl MVP
awards, Youngest Quarterback to win a Super Bowl, Youngest
Quarterback to win 2 Super Bowls, First to go to and win
2 Super Bowls in his first 4 seasons, the only active quarterback
with 2 Super Bowl rings.
